We at Farley’s Castle would like to wish everyone and their families a Merry Thanksgiving (gobble gobble)! I hope everyone enjoys the delicious meals as well as the time with your family and friends! For the people who participate in the National Day of Mourning, please don’t interrupt our meals with your nonsense! Thank you and Gold bless!

I love the holidays. I enjoy them all equally, ranging all over from Halloween to Easter. However I feel that there must be a separation between Christmas and Thanksgiving. Let me elaborate on that. Christmas music, or holiday music as the liberals call it, should only be played the day after Thanksgiving. This allows more than a significant amount of time to mentally prepare for upcoming events. The Christmas decorations, both on/in the homes and the stores, should only be on display after Thanksgiving. Black Friday should start on Friday! Let people enjoy the feast of Thanksgiving! I am not trying to be Mr. Scrooge. I just believe that all holidays deserve an equal representation. Thank you to Abc Family, now called Free Form, for allowing this to equal time to happen. We should all follow your time schedule. Hallmark…you need to take notes from Abc Family.

While in class there is always that someone who forgets to silence their phone. I always get excited because I want it to be a funny ringtone such as, “Shake That” by Eminem or “S.O.B” by Nathaniel Rateliff. However, every time it is the boring default ringtone. This is upsetting because if my phone rang it would be “Mama Tried” by Merle Haggard. Specifically the part of the song that goes, “I turned 21 in prison doing life with out parole.” Now what would my fellow classmates think of me after that?

The best part about using a computer is the undo button. No matter what you accidentally type or inset, you can always make it disappear fairly quickly. When I text a message or type a blog on my phone it is annoying that I can’t press the undo button. That was until Thomas showed me the light. He showed me how shaking your phone once causes a screen to appear saying cancel or undo. There is an undo button on the phone! This has been a Farley’s Castle life hack!

The past few weekends Kelly, Thomas and I have been on a few road trips. The drive on Thursday or Friday really isn’t that bad. We’re all energized and excited for what the weekend has in store for us. Then sure enough the weekend is over before we know it and we’re stuck with that horrific drive back. In the end everyone falls asleep, except hopefully the driver. But the driver is left all alone to drive. But after watching an epsoide of Friends I saw a genius plan. You get a hitchhiker to drive! There are always so many on I57! So I’ll let you know how it goes when I go home for Thanksgiving break! Gobble Gobble!

Weddings are always a stressful time. Finding what to wear, the colors, the food, the cake, the band… the list goes on and on. Then there’s always those few newly engaged couples that are not related to the bride or groom. They are just at the wedding to test the food or listen to the band so they can have the same thing at their wedding. My question is why don’t people do this same thing for funerals? Now bare with me! People always say, “oh they took care of everything before they passed.” I don’t think they took care of everything. Did they try the food, did they test the coffin, did they look at their grave spot, did they even think about if it’s open bar? The list goes on and on people! All I’m saying is, weddings and funerals need to be tested before hand. You don’t want the crowd to be upset!

When I ask people what their superpower would be they usually respond with, “I want to be able to fly!” But think about this, what if flying is the same thing as walking or running. Let me elaborate. What if you fly at the same speed as you walk but you’re just in the air. Also what if you wanted to fly faster, but it takes more energy just as running does. In the end wouldn’t flying be more of a chore than a power? That’s something to think about. Please post your superpowers and I’ll find ways to make them less exciting! Thank you and God bless!

The new big fad I keep seeing on Facebook are those ‘Tasty Recipe’ videos. The food they have on those videos looks extremely delicious. They’re also, for the most part, easy to make. But my biggest question is for all the people that share these videos. Have many of those Tasty meals have you actually made? I have seen people post around two or three of those videos a day. No way they are actually cooking that much. But if they are then those people must have gained fifty pounds!

Remember the letters we wrote to our future self when we were in elementary and middle school?? When are we going to get those back? I’m curious to see how well I predicted my life. Also I moved since then… so maybe they’ve already been sent and I never got them!
