  • Always Remember

    September 11th, 2017

It has been 16 years since the cowardly attack on the United States. Never forget the 2,977 people that were killed in New York City, Washington, DC and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Never forget the 343 fire fighters, 23 police officers and 37 port authority officers who lost their lives in order to save those trapped inside. Remember the soldiers who have fought and are still fighting to ensure that a tragic event like this will never happen again. Freedom isn’t free, God bless America!

  • Salad: It’s What my Food Eats

    August 17th, 2017

If you attend a wedding, funeral, prom, etc. they always serve you a salad. However, what about the people like me who do not enjoy eating leaves? Only once has a waiter or waitress presented me with the opportunity of soup or salad. I think things need to change in this country! Who is with me?!

  • Canadian National Anthem

    August 16th, 2017

Here is the Canadian National Anthem translated from English to Spanish. And of course, since they are a bilingual nation of both French and English, here is the translated version from French to Spanish.

English to Spanish translation of O’ Canada:

    O Canadá! ¡Nuestro hogar y tierra natal!

El verdadero amor patriota en todos tus hijos manda.

Con los corazones que brillan intensamente nos vemos levantarse,

El verdadero norte fuerte y libre!

    Desde muy lejos, O Canadá,

    Estamos en guardia para ti.

Dios mantiene nuestra tierra libre y gloriosa!

Oh Canadá, estamos en guardia para ti.

Oh Canadá, estamos en guardia para ti.

French to Spanish translation of O’ Canada:

O Canadá! Tierra de nuestros antepasados,

Tu frente es envuelto con joyas gloriosos.

Para su brazo sabe cómo llevar la espada

    Se puede llevar la cruz.

    Su historia es una epopeya,

    Con brillantes.

Y el valor de su empapado fe

Proteger nuestros hogares y nuestros derechos.

Proteger nuestros hogares y nuestros derechos.

  • Tarzan in the 21st Century

    August 16th, 2017

I wonder if Tarzan would be offended in today’s age if he heard, “Well I’ll be a money’s uncle”.  Interesting concept to think about!

  • History in the USA

    August 15th, 2017

Farley’s Castle rarely gets involved in politics. However, after recent events in Virginia about the historical statue being destroyed, some ideas need to be shared. Racism, prejudice, sexism, bigotry, etc. is wrong. People are always entitled to their beliefs and ideas. But destroying a historical statue is just wrong. This county has been through many changes over these 241 years. Having these statues, landmarks, flags, etc. are good reminders of how people thought and acted years ago. Why bury the past when we are taught to learn from it? How can we learn from our past when we destroy it from existence? George Washington owned slaves; should we destroy the Washington Monument? Thomas Jefferson owned slaves; should we destroy the Jefferson Memorial? People need to grow up and start acting their age and not their shoe size. You want something to change don’t cry, pout and destroy things. Thank you and God bless! Once again Farley’s Castle does not care about politics!

  • Knight Armor and the TSA

    August 14th, 2017

In a few months, for obvious reasons, I will be purchasing my first suit of knight armor! I want to test out if it is legal to wear the armor on an airplane. I would of course check the sword. I wonder how TSA would react to this?  Stand by for updates, huzzah!!

  • Food Truck

    August 2nd, 2017

I would like to open a food truck sponsored by Joaquin Phoenix. I would only sell walking tacos. The truck would be called Joaquin Tacos!
